Full Job Description
The fire extinguisher technicians perform inspections, maintenance and repair on extinguishers. Organization as well as cleaning, recharging and hydrostatic testing extinguishers and cylinders. This position includes daily customer communications so the best candidate will be outgoing, self-motivated, computer literate, and able to problem solve as well as have good communication skills and professional image.

JOB DESCRIPTION
-
In house, Inspect, repair, and test fire extinguishers using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment, and monitoring devices.
-
Local travel to customer locations to preform fire extinguisher inspections, repair, and installation.
-
Hydro-test high- and low-pressure cylinders.
-
Dismantle extinguishers and examine mechanical parts, extinguishing agents, and expelling means; replaces worn or damaged parts.

Clean extinguishers and recharge them with approved materials.

Perform fire safety and emergency lighting inspections and testing.

Working conditions include restricted movement, air contamination,
lifting or carrying of heavy objects. -
Assist with customer walk-in service.
Minimum Requirements
-
Ability to work with small tools
-
Ability to lift 110lbs
-
Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
-
Competent computer skills
-
Strong customer relations skills
-
Ability to work independently.

Experience considered a plus:

Experience testing fire safety equipment and systems.

Fire extinguisher maintenance certification

High pressure hydro testing certification
-
Experience installing and testing fire suppression systems.
